     Ernst Cording was born on 17 Oct 1899 in Haslingen, Hannover, German Empire.4,5,6
     Ernst arrived in Boston, Massachusetts, on 21 Jan 1924, aboard the S.S. Seydlitz, having departed Bremen 8 Jan. He was traveling with a fellow resident of Wagenfeld, Karl Aukamp, age 22, relationship, if any, unknown. Both said their destination was Cincinnati, Ohio.14,15
     Ernst moved to Hamilton Co., Ohio, on 25 Jan 1924.16
     Ernst filed a Declaration of Intention to become a naturalized citizen on 14 Feb 1924, stating he lived at in Amity Rd., Sycamore Twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio.2
     He was a farmhand when he immigrated.17,18 He was a butcher by the time he married, a trade he followed the rest of his life. He report in 1940 he had worked 48 hours the last week of March, and 50 weeks the prior year, earning $1,000.19,20,21,22
     Ernst married Freda Niemeyer, daughter of Friedrich Heinrich Georg Niemeyer and Marie Louise Anne Fenker, on 5 Jan 1929 in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, with Rev. G. W. Graner officiating.7,8,9
     Ernst and Freda appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 2225 Rice St., enumerated 8 Apr 1930, reporting they rented their home, for $18 per month, and did not own a radio. Their daughter Anna was listed as living with them.23
     Ernst filed a Petition for Citizenship to become a naturalized citizen on 22 Sep 1930, stating he lived at in 2275 Rice St., Cincinnati, Ohio. His Petition was granted.2
     Ernst and Freda took their two-year-old daughter with them on a trip to Germany in 1932. They returned aboard the S.S. Europa, arriving in New York 23 Sep 1932, having sailed from Bremen, Germany.24

     Ernst registered for the draft for World War II on 14 Feb 1942, while living at 114 Valencia St., Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, reporting he was employed by E. Kahn Co, Spring Grove and Alabama, Cincinnati.26
     Ernst died on 6 Mar 1954, at his home, 1443 Elkton Pl., Cincinnati, Ohio, at age 54.10,11 He was buried on 9 Mar 1954 in Arlington Memorial Gardens, Mount Healthy, Hamilton Co., Ohio.12,13
