     Freda Niemeyer was born on 16 Jan 1906 in Quernheim, German Empire.7,8,9
     She moved to Lemförde with her parents, and was living there when she immigrated to America.4
     She obtained a visa to enter the United States 17 Mar 1925 in Bremen, Germany.4
     Freda arrived in New York on 9 May 1925, aboard the S.S. Columbus, having departed Bremen, Germany, 1 May. She was traveling alone, stating she had paid her own fare, and had $25 with her. She said her occupation was house maid, she intended to stay permanently, she was going to Cincinnati, and her nearest relative in the U.S. was her mother's sister, Sophie Louise Wilhelmine Fenker.4,16
     Freda filed a Declaration of Intention to become a naturalized citizen on 22 Jul 1925, stating he lived at in 3338 Alamo Ave., Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, the home of her aunt Sophie, her husband, and their family.17
     She worked as a domestic after she arrived in America, until her marriage.18
     Freda married Ernst Cording, son of William Cording and Louisa Wunder, on 5 Jan 1929 in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, with Rev. G. W. Graner officiating.10,11,12
     Freda and Ernst appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 2225 Rice St., enumerated 8 Apr 1930, reporting they rented their home, for $18 per month, and did not own a radio. Their daughter Anna was listed as living with them.19
     Freda filed a Petition for Citizenship to become a naturalized citizen on 5 Nov 1930, stating she lived at in 2225 Rice St., Cincinnati, Ohio. Her Petition was granted.17
     Freda and Ernst took their two-year-old daughter with them on a trip to Germany in 1932. They returned aboard the S.S. Europa, arriving in New York 23 Sep 1932, having sailed from Bremen, Germany.20
