     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Decatur Twp., Lawrence Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents, John Samuel Thompson and Sophia Fischer.4 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Decatur Twp., Lawrence Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents.5
     Edward registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1918, while living at Lyra, Lawrence Co., Ohio, reporting he was employed by his father.21
     Edward appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio, at 834 Bassett, enumerated 5 Jan 1920, in the household of his sister Grace and her husband Harry Gray, with his older brother Robert.22
     He was an apprentice in a garage in 1920.23
     Edward married first Evelyn Osgood Fenker, daughter of Albert August Fenker and Mary Grant Hillebrandt, on 28 Jul 1928 in Franklin Co., Ohio, with Rev. David F. Brent officating.11,12,13

     Edward and Evelyn were divorced before 1951, when he re-married.14,15
     Edward married second Adella M. Shedenhelm, daughter of William G. Shedenhelm and Laura Adams, on 22 Nov 1951 in Franklin Co., Ohio.16,17
     Edward and Adella were living in 313 North Kellner, Columbus, after their marriage.27 By 1959 they had moved to 1101 Elizabeth Ave.28
     He later worked as a clerk for Royer & Rogers.29
     Edward died on 26 Sep 1985 in Columbus, Ohio, at age 88.18,19 He was buried in Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, Franklin Co., Ohio, with his second wife.20
