     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents, Christian George Frederick Fischer and Laura Jane Pryce.4 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents.5
     Edward married first Ruth Fenker, daughter of Albert August Fenker and Mary Grant Hillebrandt, on 15 Dec 1915 in Franklin Co., Ohio, with Rev. David F. Bent officiating.11,12,13
     Edward registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living at 1520 Bryden Rd, Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio, reporting he was employed as assistant employment and welfare manager for Selby Shoe Co. in Portsmouth.23 He was a supervisor in a shoe factory in 1920.24
     Edward and Ruth moved to Scioto Co. by 1920. They appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Portsmouth, Scioto Co., Ohio, at 1514 Fourth St., enumerated 7 Jan 1920. Their daughter Ruth was listed as living with them.25

     Ruth was granted a divorce from Edward in Hamilton Co., 16 Sep 1940, on grounds of willful absense.14,15
     Edward married second Reva Frances Whittington, daughter of Harry Delbert Whittington and Laura Belle Hickman, on 23 Aug 1941 in Greene Co., Ohio, with Rev. S. A. Beall, minister of Trinity Methodist Church, officiating.16,17
