Divorcing Her Husband --- Text Stolen from ReigelRidge.com !! ---
Linda filed for divorce from Francis on 11 Jun 1913 in circuit court in Vanderburgh Co., on grounds of cruelty and inhuman treatment. She asked for an allowance of $250 per month, and $3,000 per year alimony.25 The court granted the divorce on 2 Sep 1913, and restored her maiden name, which she used until her re-marriage years later.14,15,16
She continued to live in Evansville until mid-1919. Evansville newspaper articles refer to her as "of Park Row" until then, but that seems to be a nickname for a section of homes near Sunset Park and Riverside Ave.26
