Narrative:

Harry Raoul Hartman was born on 30 Jan 1926 in Northampton, PennsylvaniaG.4,5,6 He was baptized on 20 Mar 1926 in St. Paul's Reformed Church, Northampton, PennsylvaniaG, with Rev. I. M. Bachman officiating.1 He was known to family as Tinker.16,17
     He appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Northampton, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania, G in the household of his parents, Harry Eugene Hartman and Katie H. Hill.18 He appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Northampton, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania G, in the household of his parents.19
     Harry was in the Marine Corp in World War II, entering service 27 Apr 1943 and reaching the rank of sergeant. He was discharged 14 Feb 1946 at Cherry Point, North Carolina.20
     Harry married first Ida May Devereaux, daughter of William James Devereaux and Anna Elizabeth Simons, on 25 Nov 1945 in St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Northampton, PennsylvaniaG, with Rev. Sidney S. Smith officiating.7,8
     Harry and Ida appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Northampton, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania, at 2288 Main St. G, enumerated 10 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm, and had lived in the same county the prior year. Their four eldest children were listed as living with them, as were her parents.2
     Harry and Ida were divorced before 1980.9
     He was a boiler repairman for Atlas Cement Co. in NorthamptonG before retiring with 32 years service, reporting in the 1950 census he had worked 40 hours the prior week in 1980.21,16
     Harry married second Margie D. Hicks, daughter of Hobert Hicks and Clyda Love, in Oct 1980.10,11,12
     Harry died on 19 Feb 1998 in Bethlehem, PennsylvaniaG, at age 72.13,5,14 He was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Northampton, PennsylvaniaG.15
