Dorothy A. Oldham was born in Jul 1886 in MissouriG.4,5,6
     Her father died in 1896, when Dorothy was about 9 years old.11
     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri, G in the household of her mother, Caroline L. Ashbrook.12 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Kansas, Jackson Co., Missouri, G in the household of her mother.13
     Dorothy married Robert Bowers Garrett, son of Samuel C. Garrett and Letitia W. Bowers, on 29 Mar 1911 in Kansas City, Jackson Co., MissouriG, with Rev. Frank S. Arnold, Presbyterian minister, officiating.7,8,9
     Dorothy and Robert appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri, at 3938 Tracy Ave. G, enumerated 2 Jan 1920, reporting they rented their home. Their son Robert was listed as living with them, as was her mother.14
     Dorothy and Robert appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri, at 1214 East 34th St. G, enumerated 11 Apr 1930, reporting they rented their home, for $37.50 per month, and did not own a radio. Their son Robert was listed as living with them.15
     Dorothy and Robert appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri G, at 43 West 58 St. Terrace, enumerated 13 Apr 1940, reporting they were renting their home, for $45 per month, and had lived in the same city in 1935. Also listed as living with them were his mother and six men between the ages of 20 and 26, engaged in various occupations, listed as lodgers.16
     Her husband died on 29 Jul 1945 in 43 West 58 St. Terrace, Kansas City, Jackson Co., MissouriG.17,18
     Dorothy died on 16 Oct 1962 in Merriam, Johnson Co., KansasG, at age 76.10 She was buried in Mount Muncie Cemetery, Lansing, Leavenworth Co., KansasG.3

Pearl Nix was born on 12 Jun 1900 in ArkansasG.4,5,6 Her formal name was apparently Leila Pearl, but she used her middle name almost exclusively.2,3
     She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Montague Co., Texas, G in the household of her parents, Ernest Edward Nix and Armenta Jane Brandon.11 She appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Cooke Co., Texas G, in the household of her parents.12
     Pearl married second Hugh Carlisle Kirkpatrick, son of Moses Clark Kirkpatrick and Carrie Imogene Maxwell, on 1 Dec 1928 in Swisher Co., TexasG, with Rev. F. R. Pickens officating.7,8
     She was a registered nurse.13 They settled in Hale Co.G after they married.
     Pearl and Hugh appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Plainview, Hale Co., Texas, at 613 W. Seventh G, enumerated 12 Apr 1930, reporting that they were renting their home, for $35 per month.14
     Pearl and Hugh moved to AmarilloG about 1931. They appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Amarillo, Potter Co., Texas, at 801 Florida G, enumerated 12 Apr 1940, reporting they owned a home valued at $2,750 and had lived in the same city in 1935. Their daughter Patricia was listed as living with them.15
