Narrative:

Samuel R. Mooberry was born in Jan 1844 in IllinoisG.4,5,6 He appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Tazewell Co., IllinoisG, in the household of his parents, John Mooberry and Lydia Marion.12 He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., IllinoisG, in the household of his parents.13
     Samuel was a corporal in Company G, 108th Illinois Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War.14,15
     Samuel married Clara A. McClallen, daughter of Silas McClallen, on 24 Feb 1870 in Tazewell Co., IllinoisG.7,8,9
     Samuel and Clara appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., IllinoisG, enumerated 29 Jul 1870, reporting no real estate, but personal estate of $400.16
     Samuel and Clara appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois G, enumerated 15 Jun 1880. Their children Lydia, Thomas, and Lutia were listed as living with them, as was Melvin Wallace, age 20, a laborer.17
     Samuel and Clara appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois G, enumerated 20 Jun 1900, reporting that they owned their farm, mortgage free. Their children Lutia, George, Alfred, and Ada were listed as living with them.18
     Samuel and Clara appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, at Bloomington Rd. G, enumerated 18 Apr 1910, reporting that they owned their farm, mortgage free. Their children Alfred and Ada were listed as living with them, as was Clarance Fisher, age 20, a farm hand.19
     He was a farmer, apparently retired by 1919, when it appears his son Alfred is operating the farm.20,21,22,23
     Samuel died on 14 Feb 1916 at age 72.10 He was buried in Roberts Cemetery, Morton, Tazewell Co., IllinoisG.11
