Narrative:

Louis Grant Mooberry was born on 6 May 1864 in Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., IllinoisG.4,5,6 While is given name seems to have been spelled as Lewis originally, he apparently use the spelling Louis as an adult.14,15,16
     He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., IllinoisG, in the household of his parents, John Stone Mooberry and Jane Cunningham.17
     His mother died on 10 Apr 1877, when Louis was 12 years old.18,19 Louis appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Groveland, Tazewell Co., Illinois, G in the household of his father, John Stone Mooberry.20
     Louis married Louise Dora Voight, daughter of William Voight and Henrietta Gland, on 26 Mar 1890 in Peoria, IllinoisG.7,8,9
     Louis and Louise appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois G, enumerated 21 Jun 1900, reporting they owned their farm, free of mortgage. Their children Mayme, John, Lucretia, and Samuel were listed as living with them.1 Apparently his cousin Milton Mooberry and his family lived close by as they are listed next in the census record.21
     Louis and Louise appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, at Groveland Rd. G, enumerated 23 Apr 1910, reporting they owned their farm, free of mortgage. Their children Mayme, John, Lucretia, Samuel, Gladys, and Roy were listed as living with them.2
     Louis and Louise appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, at Mooberry Lane G, enumerated 15 Jan 1920, reporting they owned their farm, free of mortgage. Their children Samuel, Gladys, and Roy were listed as living with them.22
     Louis and Louise appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, at State Route A G, enumerated 1 May 1930, reporting they were renting their home. Their son Samuel was listed as living with them.23
     Louis appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois G, enumerated 29 Apr 1940, reporting he owned a home valued at $2,000. His son Samuel was listed as living with him, Both reported living in the same house in 1935. His wife was living with their daughter Gladys and her husband.24
     He was a farmer, but by 1930 he had apparently lost the farm, and was a farm laborer, at age 66.25,26,27,28,29
     His wife died on 11 Aug 1943 in Peoria, Peoria Co., IllinoisG.30,31
     Louis died on 14 Oct 1945 in Morton, Tazewell Co., IllinoisG, at age 81.10,11 He was buried on 17 Oct 1945 in Roberts Cemetery, Morton, Tazewell Co., IllinoisG.12,13
