Elizabeth A. Clark was born on 27 Jun 1832 in KentuckyG.4,5,6
     She was probably the female age 5 to 10 listed in the household of her father, James G. Clark, in the 1840 Federal Census of Caldwell Co., KentuckyG.11 She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Caldwell Co., KentuckyG, in the household of her parents.12
     Elizabeth married John M. Shannon on 13 Apr 1856 in Eddyville, Lyon Co., KentuckyG, at the home of her father, with Rev. George K. Perkins officating.7,8,9
     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Dycusburg, Crittenden Co., KentuckyG, in the household of Gideon Dyer Cobb Jr., her uncle, with her parents and her supposed children, Ruben and Belle Shannon.13,14
     Elizabeth died on 2 Sep 1868 at age 36.10 She was buried in Dycusburg Cemetery, Dycusburg, Crittenden Co., KentuckyG.10
Research Note, 30 Jul 2010:
No other record has been found of a John Shannon, save a possible match for a man of that name age 32, born in Tennessee, in the household of Katura Hyde in Lamar Co. Texas in 1860, apparently with four younger brothers. Nor has any later record been found for the other two children, except Belle's appearance with her mother's sister in 1880.15

     She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Caldwell Co., KentuckyG, in the household of her parents, James G. Clark and Mary Willard Cobb.11
     She appeared with her parents on the 1860 Federal Census of Dycusburg, Crittenden Co., KentuckyG, in the household of Gideon Dyer Cobb Jr., her mother's brother.12,13
     Modena married William Tillman White, son of Henry P. White and Martha B. Bradley, on 30 Apr 1861 in Lyon Co., KentuckyG.7,8
     Modena and William appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Elkton, Todd Co., KentuckyG, enumerated 19 Jul 1870, reporting real estate valued at $1,000 and personal estate of $2,000. Their children William, Martha, and Henry were listed as living with them.14
     Her husband died in Apr 1880 in Todd Co., KentuckyG.15,16
     Modena appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Trenton, Todd Co., Kentucky G, enumerated 7 Jun 1880. Her children William, Martha, Henry, and James were listed as living with her, as was her niece, Belle Shannon.17 She was is listed in the 1880 census as operating a farm, with the aid of her sons William and Henry, after the death of her husband.17
     Modena moved to Evansville, Indiana, with her daughter Martha and her husband, James Young Cabaniss by 1893, when they were living at 2 Madison Ave.G.18 The following year they moved to 115 Jefferson Ave. G.19 About 1896 they moved to 1104 Upper 6th St. G.20 Modena appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., Indiana, in the household of her daughter Martha and her husband.21 About 1903 they moved to 414 Chandler Ave. G.22
     Modena died on 23 Nov 1908 in Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., IndianaG, at age 67.9 She was buried on 25 Nov 1908 in Trenton, KentuckyG.10

     He appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Caldwell Co., KentuckyG, in the household of his parents, James G. Clark and Mary Willard Cobb.10
     Henry appeared with his parents on the 1860 Federal Census of Dycusburg, Crittenden Co., KentuckyG, in the household of Gideon Dyer Cobb Jr., his mother's brother.11,12
     Henry married Martha E. Pickering, daughter of William C. Pickering and Pernecy Pickering, in Jul 1872 in Crittenden Co., KentuckyG. There is room for doubt as to whether they were actually married, because the marriage register entry from them was left uncompleted, and because she appears in the 1880 census with her mother under her maiden name marked as single. However the same census record includes young James and Henry Clark, listed as her mother's grandchildren so it appears they did have children together.7,8,9
     He was a carpenter.3
     Henry died on 4 Jun 1875 in Crittenden Co., KentuckyG, at age ~33, from a wound.3

Giles L. Clark was born about 1845 in KentuckyG.4,5,6
     He appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Caldwell Co., KentuckyG, in the household of his parents, James G. Clark and Mary Willard Cobb.8
     He appeared with his parents on the 1860 Federal Census of Dycusburg, Crittenden Co., KentuckyG, in the household of his mother's brother Gideon.9,10
     Giles has not been found in the 1870 census. By 1880 he had moved to Arizona Territory, where he was a miner.2
     He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Tombstone, Pima Co., Arizona Territory G, enumerated 8 Jun 1880, listed with a large number of other miners and mine workers of various trades. Each is listed separately, as if each had his own tent or cabin, but they may have been incorrectly listed independently when they actually lived in some sort of common lodging.2
     He moved to GlobeG about 1890.11
     Giles died on 5 Mar 1891 in Globe, Arizona TerritoryG, at age ~46.7 He was buried on 6 Mar 1891, after a funeral at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Globe.3
     His obituary says that he left a wife in Carlisle, New MexicoG, who was reported to be quite sick. No other record of her has been found. Gold was discovered in Carlisle in 1880, and mine operated there until after World War II. The town is now a ghost town with only a few ruins remaining.3
