     She appeared on the 1895 State Census of Shawnee Co., KansasG, in the household of her parents, George Bonebarke Manning and Wilna Hadley.15 She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Topeka, Shawnee Co., Kansas G, in the household of her parents.16
     She moved with her parents to Reno Co.G by 1905. She appeared on the 1905 State Census of Hutchinson, Reno Co., KansasG, in the household of her parents.15 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Hutchinson, Reno Co., Kansas G, in the household of her parents, at 118 First Ave. West.17
     Her mother died on 14 May 1912, when Winifred was 17 years old.18,19 After the death of her mother, Winifred took over her role. According to family recollections, Winifred was an excellent cook and housekeeper and sewed beautifully. She said she had "made over" so many things, she wouldn't know what to do with a new piece of material, but she made her sister Marie’s wedding dress and the bridesmaids’ dresses. She didn't marry until she was 49 – she felt she had the duty of rearing her sisters and taking care of her father.20

     She was supervisor in a soil conservation agency by 1940. That year she reported she had worked 44 hours the last week of March, and had worked 52 weeks the prior year, earning $1,400. She was the head of wheat allotment of Reno Co., with a staff of 18 reporting to her.23,24

     Winifred and Stanley Wilson Case had long been friends. According to her sister they had been engaged for 15 years before they married. However he had been married and living with his wife and three children in CaliforniaG until her death 4 Mar 1940. In any case, when Winifred and Stanley married her father reportedly took to his bed saying "It was so sudden."25,26,27

Austin Willard Angell Jr. was born on 2 Feb 1916 in Portland, Multnomah Co., OregonG.4,5,6 He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, G in the household of his parents, Austin Willard Angell and Ida May Reigel.12 He appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon G, in the household of his parents.13
     Austin applied for a Social Security Number 8 Jul 1938, while living at 1528 Sutter, San Francisco, CaliforniaG, where he was employed by Pacific Electric Manufacturing Company.14
     His work apparently then took him to to PennsylvaniaG. He appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Lansdowne, Delaware Co., Pennsylvania G, at 90 Lansdowne Ave., enumerated 14 May 1940, as a lodger with five other men in the household of John J. Wilson and his wife.15
     He was a draftsman for an electric company in 1940. That year he reported he had worked 44 hours the last week of March, and had worked 25 weeks the year before, earning $1,570.16
     Austin entered service in World War II on 25 Jul 1941, at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, while living at 917 East Darby Rd., Llanerch, Delaware Co., PennsylvaniaG. He served in the United States until 31 Jul 1944, returning from overseas service 17 Nov 1945.17,18
     Austin married Amie Dorothea Rockefeller, daughter of Ray Dell Rockefeller and Lina Marie Schriever.7,8
      In Jan 1943 he was with the corps of engineers at Fort Belvoir, VirginiaG.19 He and Amie were living at 308½ S. Fairfax, Alexandria, VirginiaG, during that time.20
      By mid-1944 he was a Major, stationed near San Luis Obispo, CaliforniaG, having been in California about seven months.21 He and Dorothea were living in 1070 Palm St., San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo Co., CaliforniaG, in Jul 1944, having lived in the town 3½ months, and in the state seven months.22 He was discharged from the Army at Fort Lewis, WashingtonG, on 12 Feb 1946.2
     On 10 Feb 1950 Austin applied for compensation offered by the state of Pennsylvania to World War II veterans from that state. They were offered $10 per month of service within the U. S., and $15 per month for foreign service, up to $500. With 35 months of domestic service and 16 months of foreign service, he received the full $500.2
     Austin and Amie appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Albany, Alameda Co., California, at 627 Curtis Ave. G, enumerated 8 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm. Their children were listed as living with them.23 Austin and Dorothea lived there for many years and were living there at the time of his death.11
     After the War he worked as a manufacturer's representative for 45 years, working for Ingalls Associates, an electrical manufacturing company. In 1950 he reported he had worked 40 hours the prior week.24,11
     Austin died on 10 Nov 1987 in Berkeley, Alameda Co., CaliforniaG, at age 71.9,10 He was cremated and his remains were interred at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Sebastopol, CaliforniaG, on 13 Nov 1987.11

     John left a will dated 26 May 1858, in which he named his sons John and Bennefille as executors. He left to his wife, if she elected, the home and 17 acres where they lived, all the livestock, the furniture she chose, interest on $1,000 and all taxes to be paid by his estate. Should she decline, he left to her the interest on $3,000 and the furniture she chose. Any furniture and livestock she declined, and the property if she declined it, were to be sold. He said he held notes for $1,000 against each of his children, which were to be forgiven. His remaining estate was to be distributed equally to his six children. The property set aside for his wife was to be sold after her death and the proceeds divided between his children.3

     Kilyan left a will dated 11 Sep 1875, in which he named his wife Mary and son Hiram as executors. He left to his wife all his household furniture, horse, harness, buggy, and all the cash on hand. Also, she was to receive during her natural life all the income from all his personal property, stocks, notes, and bonds, and the interest on $7,000 to be paid by his son or any succeeding owner of his farm. He specified that should she choose to live alone a sum from his personal property sufficient to buy a suitable dwelling for her use be provided. He bequeathed to his son, subject to the interest payments to his wife, his 150-acre farm then occupied by Messrs. Eshback. At the death of his wife all the property set aside her for use during her life was to go to Hiram, or if he was not living, to his five children who were listed by name.16
     He amended his will with a codicil dated 29 Apr 1876, in which he noted that he had sold his farm, and his wife was to receive for her life the income from all unpaid payments from the farm, in addition to the interest on her $7,000 dowry.17
     The last two years of his life he lived with his son Hiram, in Delaware Twp.G.10
