     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Montgomery Co., Tennessee, G in the household of his parents, William Davis Elliott and Carrie Jones.17 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Montgomery Co., Tennessee G, in the household of his parents.18
     Jones attended Vanderbilt University, NashvilleG.19
     Jones served in a U.S. Naval submarine service in World War I.20
     He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Montgomery Co., Tennessee G, in the household of his parents.21

     Jones married first Minnie Diana Thomas Gracey, daughter of Julien Frank Gracey and Minnie Irene Thomas, on 17 Jan 1921 in Albany, Morgan Co., AlabamaG, with Rev. L. F. Goodwin officating.7,8
     He opened a new business in partnership with S. H. Ballentine, Fort Products Co., on 1 Feb 1921. Located at 119 Third Ave. N., NashvilleG, it advertised "All kinds of repair work and storage on Ford cars only." He was the manager. The business was short-lived. They dissolved it effective 1 Jun 1921.23,24
     When he became owner and operator of the Clarksville Auto Tire Company in Clarksville is unknown. He sold the business, effective 11 Dec 1922, to Cagney, Baggett, and H. D. Finnely. He said in a public announcement they had bought all the operating, tire, gasoline, and oil equipment and would provide "prompt and courteous service, at the same old place, in the same old way," suggesting the business had been operating before his venture in Nashville.25
     He remained in the automobile business at least for a time. In the winter of 1923 Jones ran a series of ads in the Clarksville newspapers for Overland automobiles.22
     Minnie was living in MontanaG in Apr 1929, it would appear to establish residency for a divorce proceeding, though no actual divorce record has yet been found.26
     Jones and Minnie were divorced before 1930.9,10
     Jones married second Nancy Palmer Castner, daughter of George L. Castner and Nannie T. Farnsworth, on 21 Mar 1931 in Davidson Co., TennesseeG, with Rev. George Stores officating.11,12,13
     By 1936 Jones was the regional manager of the American Academy of Accountancy, which was advertising accounting courses held in Nashville. In 1940 he reproted he had not been working the last week of March, but had worked 52 weeks the prior year, earning $1,200.27,28,29
     Jones and Nancy appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee, at 2100 Belmont Blvd. G, enumerated 8 Apr 1940, reporting they were renting their apartment for $55 per month, and had lived in the same city in 1935. Their daughter was listed as living with them, as was her mother.30 He also appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Rutherford Co., Tennessee, at the U.S. Veterans Hospital G, enumerated 23 May 1940.31
     Jones served in a U.S. Naval Construction Battalion in World War II.32,33
     Jones died on 4 Feb 1947 in Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TennesseeG, at age 49.3,14 He was buried on 5 Feb 1947 in Clarksville, TennesseeG.15,16

     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Montgomery Co., Tennessee, G in the household of his parents, Wiley Bayless Winn and Cornelia Edmundson.14
     His mother died on 13 Dec 1903, when Henry was 15 years old.15
     Henry attended local schools, then Southwestern Presbyterian University, on the site now occupied by Austin Peay State University, ClarksvilleG. That school, after several name changes and reorganizations, moved to Memphis in 1925 and is now known as Rhodes College.16,17 He also took a business course at in Eastman Business College, Poughkeepsie, New YorkG.16
     Henry married Louise Gracey, daughter of Julien Frank Gracey and Minnie Irene Thomas, on 12 Jan 1911 in Montgomery Co., TennesseeG, with Rev. John B. Cannon officiating.7,8,9
     Henry registered for the draft for World War I on 7 Jun 1917, while living in Montgomery Co., TennesseeG, reporting he was self-employed on his own farm near Ringgold.1

There were nine other lodgers, including two married couples, one with a child. He reported he had lived in Tennessee in 1935.20
     He was a stock dealer, and a farmer by 1940, when he reported he had been out of work 64 weeks.21,22,23,24
     Henry moved to Guthrie, KentuckyG, after 1940, were he lived until his final illness required hospitalization.25,26
     Henry died on 10 Nov 1942 in Madison College, Davidson Co., TennesseeG, at age 54.13 He was buried on 11 Nov 1942 in Greenwood Cemetery, Clarksville, Montgomery Co., TennesseeG.13
