G.
4,5,6 He immigrated to the U.S. when his parents returned home from their extended wedding tour of Europe, arriving with them in New York

2 Norman was named an heir in the will of Bryce Stewart, his father, dated 6 May 1891 in Clarksville, Montgomery Co., Tennessee
G, to receive one-quarter of his property in Virginia, and one-third of his property in Tennessee Kentucky, Florida, and Arkansas. His share was to be held in trust until he reached age 25, and his father urged him to leave it with the executors to invest after that. He was to receive from his share up to $1200 per year for his education and maintenance.
His father's will was probated in Clarksville
G on 26 Jan 1894.
17 No inventories of the estate have been found, but newspaper accounts of the probate estimated the values of the estate at $500,000 to $1,000,000.
18 After the death of his father, he and his mother lived in Clarksville as late as 1895.

The application seems to have been approved, although the final order has not been found. While he claimed citizenship on the 1900 census, his father was not a citizen and apparently his mother's citizenship was insufficient to qualify him.
