Narrative:

Hannah Edgerton was born on 8 Sep 1765 in Norwich, Connecticut.6,7,8 She was baptized on 8 Sep 1765 in Bozrah Congregational Church, Bozrah, New London Co., Connecticut.10 She moved to Pawlet, Rutland Co., Vermont, with her parents in 1781.11,12
Hannah married Capt. Joshua Cobb, son of Gideon Cobb and Abigail Dyer, on 17 Sep 1781 in Pawlet, Rutland Co., Vermont.9,8
She was probably one of the five females listed in the household of her husband, Capt. Joshua Cobb, in the 1790 Federal Census of Pawlet, Rutland Co., Vermont.13 She was probably the female age 26 to 44 listed in the household of her husband, Capt. Joshua Cobb, in the 1800 Federal Census of Pawlet, Rutland Co., Vermont.14 She was probably one of the two females age 26 to 45 listed in the household of her husband in the 1810 Federal Census of Pawlet, Rutland Co., Vermont.15
Hannah was named an heir in the will of Abiah Hough, her mother, dated Nov 1815.16
Hannah and Joshua moved to Vernon, New York, by 1820, apparently with their son Simeon, since they lived with him there afterword. It appears they were joining their daughters Abigail and Polly and their husbands who had moved there previously.17,18 (See map.)
On 20 May 1817, before leaving Pawlet, Joshua and Hannah sold her inheritance from David Edgerton, for $110. He was presumably her brother who had died in 1813. On 21 May 1823, after they had moved to Vernon, they sold their interest in the two acres in Pawlet left to her mother from her father's estate to Simeon Edgerton, presumably her brother of that name, for $36.19
Hannah was probably the female age over 45 listed in the household of Simeon E. Cobb, her son, in the 1820 Federal Census of Vernon, Oneida Co., New York, probably with her husband, Joshua, being the male over age 45 in the household.20 Hannah was probably the female age 70 to 80 appearing on the 1840 Federal Census of Lenox, Madison Co., New York, in the household of her son Simeon.21
