Sarah Cobb was born on 16 Jul 1778 in Canterbury, Connecticut.7,8 She moved to Pawlet, Vermont, with her parents, Elkanah Cobb and Mary Willard, by 1780.13,14,15 She was probably one of the four females listed in the household of her father, Elkanah Cobb, in the 1790 Federal Census of Pawlet, Rutland Co., Vermont.16
     She moved with her parents to Wells, the next town north of Pawlet, by 1792.17,18
     Sarah died on 15 Mar 1795 in Wells, Rutland Co., Vermont, at age 16.9,10 She was buried in Mettowee Valley Cemetery, Pawlet, Rutland Co., Vermont, now known as the Old Pawlet Cemetery.11,12
     Her father died on 10 Aug 1795, when Sarah was 17 years old.9,19,20
