     Elvira Brady was born on 13 May 1826 in Ohio.8,9,10
     She was probably the female age 5 to 10 listed in the household of her father, Benjamin Brady, in the 1830 Federal Census of Fairfield Twp., Highland Co., Ohio.14 She was probably the female age 15 to 20 listed in the household of her father in the 1840 Federal Census of Fairfield Twp., Highland Co., Ohio.15
     She moved to Missouri with her parents between 1840 and 1850. She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Marshall Twp., Platte Co., Missouri, in the household of her parents.1,16
     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Marshall Twp., Platte Co., Missouri, in the household of her father, reporting personal estate of $1,000. Her mother was listed in Green Twp. with her brother Walter.17,18 She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Weston, Platte Co., Missouri, in the household of her parents.19
     On 24 Jan 1878 the court ordered the administrator of her father's estate to pay her $150 as her share of his estate.2 On 25 Jul 1878 the court ordered him to pay her her remaining share, $32.22.20
     She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Marshall Twp., Platte Co., Missouri, in the household of her mother.6
     Elvira died on 7 Dec 1897 at age 71.11,12 She was buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Weston, Platte Co., Missouri.13
     Elvira died intestate (without leaving a will) and letters of administration for her estate were issued on 21 Dec 1897 in Carroll Co., Missouri, to Benjamin Franklin Brady, son of her late brother Barzilla. He posted a bond of $2,500. In the application he listed as heirs himself and his brother James; her sister Mariah; Paul A. Street, the son of her late sister Arena; Josephine and Georgia, daughters of her late brother Walter and Walter J. Currier, son of his late daughter Elizabeth; and Oscar B. Bailey, grandson of her late sister Angelina.21
     An inventory of her estate was filed on 4 Jan 1898 by her administrator. In it he reported three parcels of land, each of about 80 acres, four notes due her with a face value of $515, and cash of $766.22
     The first settlement of the estate was filed on 6 Mar 1899. In it the administrator reported receipt of $74 for sale of personal property, and various disbursements totaling $211. He also reported that the four notes had been found to not be property of the estate, producing a net value of the estate of $640.23
     The final settlement of the estate was filed on 13 Feb 1900 in Carroll Co., Missouri. In it the administrator reported no receipts and various disbursements totaling $68. This left $571 available for disbursement to the heirs. No record of how the land was distributed has been found.24
