She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Lafayette, Christian Co., Kentucky, in the household of her father, William Hester, with her husband, Richard W. Tuck, and their children, Lula and Walter.4
Eliza and Richard moved to Memphis, Tennessee, by 1891, as we find him listed in the city directory that year, residing on Poplar Blvd. Since that is where his younger sister Martha and her husband lived, it seems quite possible they lived with them for a time. They apparently moved to 151 Third about 1890.13,14
