     Ceres Barrioz was born on 14 Dec 1871 in Missouri.6,7,8 She was known to family as Sarah.13 She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of St. Louis, St. Louis Co., Missouri, in the household of her parents, Philibert Barrioz and Marie Clement.14
     Ceres married Gustav Frederick Gapsch, son of Edward W. Gapsch and Sophie Herfurt, about 1890.9,10,11
     Ceres and Gustav appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of St. Louis, Missouri, at 5889 Pernod Ave., enumerated 21 Jun 1900, reporting the family was renting its home. Their children Virginia and Gustava were listed as living with them, as was Andrew Whitmare, a 13-year old garden laborer listed as a boarder, likely a helper on the farm.15
     Ceres and Gustav appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Carondelet Twp., St. Louis Co., Missouri, enumerated 6 May 1910, reporting that the family owned their farm, free of mortgage. Their children Virginia and Gustava were listed as living with them.16
     Ceres and Gustav appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of St. Louis, Missouri, at 3112 Cherokee St., enumerated 5 Jan 1920. Their daughter Gustava was listed as living with them.17
     Ceres and Gustav appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of St. Louis, Missouri, at 3840 Gravois Ave., enumerated 12 Apr 1930, reporting that the family had a radio set, and owned a home valued at $10,000.18
     Ceres and Gustav appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of St. Louis, Missouri, at 3840 Gravois Ave., enumerated 13 Apr 1940, reporting they owned a home valued at $3,000, and had lived in the same house in 1935.19
     Ceres died on 10 Aug 1954 in Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas, at age 82. She had been there three weeks, away from her home in St. Louis.4,7 She was buried on 14 Aug 1954 in New St. Marcus Cemetery, St. Louis Co., Missouri.12
