Narrative:

Bert F. White was born on 27 Sep 1881 in Longview, Illinois.6,7,8
He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Raymond Twp., Champaign Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents, Davison White and Virginia Quick.4
He moved to Oklahoma before 1912.
Bert married first Mary Almeda Cobb, daughter of Giles Akin Cobb and Adeline M. Cash, on 22 Dec 1912 in Carmen, Alfalfa Co., Oklahoma, with Rev. Claude P. Zenor, minister of the Methodist Church, officiating.9,10
Bert registered for the draft for World War I on 12 Sep 1918, while living at Carmen, Alfalfa Co., Oklahoma, reporting he was employed as a farmer in Carmen.3
Bert and Mary appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Eagle Chief Twp., Alfalfa Co., Oklahoma, enumerated 9 Feb 1920, reporting that they owned their home. Their daughter Mildred was listed as living with them.16
He was a farmer, on his own farm, in Alfalfa Co.16
Bert and Mary moved to Kingfisher Co. before 1930. They appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Cashion, Kingfisher Co., Oklahoma, enumerated 3 Apr 1930, reporting they rented their home, for $13 per month, and did not own a radio. Their daughter Mildred was listed as living with them, as was Jessie Marley, a 22-year old school teacher, who was listed as a roomer.17
He was a manager of a grain elevator in Kingfisher Co.18
His wife died on 21 Aug 1930 in Kingfisher Co., Oklahoma.19,20
Bert moved to Logan Co. after 1935. He was a grain buyer for a flour mill there, reporting in 1940 he had worked 52 weeks the prior year, earning $1,320, but had been out of work 12 weeks.21
Bert married second Bettie [surname unknown], which we know only because they appear as husband and wife in the 1940 census. It appears they married after 1935 since the census shows they were living in separate counties in 1935. No marriage record has been found, and no other record of her has been located.11
Bert and Bettie appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Guthrie, Logan Co., Oklahoma, at 319 Cleveland, enumerated 4 Nov 1940, reporting they rented their home, for $25 per month, and that she had lived in the same town in 1935, and he had lived in rural, Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Nell Wolgamot, age 57, was listed as a roomer in the household.22
Bert moved to Oklahoma City by 1942. He registered for the draft for World War II on 25 Apr 1942, while living at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., Oklahoma, reporting he was not employed.23
It appears Bert and Bettie were separated by 1942, as he reported his sister rather than his wife as "the person who will always know your address" when he registered for the draft.24
Bert died on 17 Apr 1964 in Oklahoma Co., Oklahoma, at age 82.12,13,14 He was buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Carmen, Alfalfa Co., Oklahoma.15
