Thomas W. Elliott was born on 23 Jan 1867 in Howard Co., Maryland.5,6,7Thomas married Ida S. Miller, daughter of Thomas Miller and Frances Perkey, about 1895.8,9,10
Thomas and Ida appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Swatara Twp., Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 19 Jun 1900, reporting that they were renting their home. Their children Verna, Elizabeth and Mary were listed as living with them.1
Thomas and Ida appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Swatara Twp., Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania, at Reading Pike, enumerated 10 May 1910, reporting that they were renting their home. Their children Elizabeth, Mary, Thomas, Mable, Louisa, Bertha and Edna were listed as living with them.11
His wife died on 13 Aug 1915 in Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania.12,13,14

His daughter Mable was listed as living with him, as were her son Robert, age 19, Chester S. Houch, listed as his grandson.16
He was a farm laborer, and a dairyman by 1919, operating a farm.17,18,19,20 He was a laborer by 1925, and by 1930 he was working as a quarryman at a stone quarry. By 1940 he was a laborer working on a farm, and reported, at age 70, he had worked 80 hours the last week of March. He reported he had worked 20 weeks the prior year, earning $125. He reported in the 1950 census his occupation was gathering stones, but he was unable to work.21,22,16,23
Thomas appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Swatara, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania, at 215 N. 40th St, enumerated 10 Apr 1950, reporting he lived in a home that was not on a farm.24
Thomas died on 8 Feb 1953 in 4700 Franklin St., Swatara Twp., Harvard Co., Pennsylvania, at age 86.4 He was buried on 11 Feb 1953 in Overlin Cemetery, Oberlin.4
