     Leland Renallet Silver was born on 19 Jan 1906 in Talent, Oregon.8,9,10
     He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon, in the household of his parents, Theodore Perry Silver and Catherine Elizabeth Renollet.7
     His father died in 1911, when Leland was about 5 years old.17,18 He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon, in the household of his mother.5
     Leland married Juanita Ala Reigel, daughter of Ralph Orzben Reigel and Edith Jennie Roberts, on 22 Jun 1929.11,12,13
     Leland and Juanita appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon, at 763 (rear) B St., enumerated 3 Apr 1930, reporting that the family rented it's home for $4 per month, and owned a radio. They lived in the rear of the home owned by his mother.19
     He was a cook in a hotel in 1930. In 1940 he was a cement helper working on street construction under an emergency work program. That year he reported he had worked 35 hours the last week of March, and had worked 46 weeks the prior year, earning $660. He reported he had been without regular employment for 67 weeks.19,20
     Leland and Juanita appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon, at 763 B St., enumerated 25 Apr 1940, reporting that they owned a home valued at $500, and had lived in the same house in 1935. It was the same house his parents had owned since they moved to Ashland before 1910. Their children were listed as living with them, as was his mother.20
     Leland registered for the draft for World War II on 16 Oct 1940, while living at Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon, reporting he was employed by Oregon W.P.A., at Lithia Park, in Ashland.2
     Leland and Juanita appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon, at 763 B St., enumerated 5 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm and they lived in the same house the year before. Five of their children were listed as living with them, as were his mother, and his brother George.21
     He was a maintenance worker at a rock crusher by 1950, reporting in the 1950 census he had worked 40 hours the prior week. He also reported working 52 weeks in 1949, earning $3,500 in wages or salary.22
     Leland died on 5 Jun 1971 in Jackson Co., Oregon, at age 65.14,15 He was buried on 7 Jun 1971 in Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland, Jackson Co., Oregon.16
