     Robert Charles Glabe was born on 22 Jun 1917 in Washington, Illinois.9,10,11
     He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Morton Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents, Charles Edward Glabe and Viola C. Wageman.4 He appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents.5 He appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents.3
     He was a mechanic at an automobile garage in 1940, when he reported he had worked 40 hours the last week of March, and had worked 52 weeks the prior year, earning $936.3
     Robert enlisted in the U.S. Army on 5 Mar 1941, serving in World War II. He was discharged 18 Dec 1945.13
     Robert registered for the draft for World War II on 21 Dec 1945, while living at 415 North Main St., Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, reporting he was unemployed, discharged from the service.2
     He was then worked for Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville, reporting in the 1950 census he had worked 52 hours the prior week. He worked there for more than 30 years in Mossville.14,3
     He appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents, Charles Edward Glabe and Viola C. Wageman.15
