William Alfred Marqua was born on 19 Jun 1864 in Cincinnati, Ohio.8,9,10He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents, Jacob Marqua and Mary Schwab.16 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents.5
He was working as a laborer in 1880, at age 15.17
William married Mary C. Von Seggern, daughter of John R. Von Seggern and Louisa S. Wieman, on 21 May 1890 in Hamilton Co., Ohio, with Rev. Hugo G. Eisenlohr officiating.11,12
