Narrative:

     152 Lucy Elizabeth Freeman was born about 1859 in Arkansas.8,9,10
     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Walker Creek Twp., Lafayette Co., Arkansas, in the household of her parents, Obediah H. Freeman and Eliza S. Dinkins.16 She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Walker Creek Twp., Lafayette Co., Arkansas, in the household of her parents.17 She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Walker Creek Twp., Lafayette Co., Arkansas, in the household of her parents.7
     Lucy married James Dunkson Crabtree, son of William H. Crabtree and Sophia W. Cobb, on 13 Apr 1882 in Lafayette Co., Arkansas, with Charles N. Maryman, justice of the peace, offciating.11,12
     LucyNeither James nor Lucy, nor any of their children, have been found in the 1900 census. They had separated, or perhaps divorced by 1910, when she and three of their children appeared in the census on the farm in Lafayette Co., Arkansas, with her listed as single.
     Lucy appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Roane Twp., Lafayette Co., Arkansas, enumerated 21 Apr 1910, reporting she owned her farm, free of mortgage. Her children William, Annie and Park were listed as living with her, as was her mother. Lucy and William were listed as farmers, and the other two children were listed as working on the farm.6
     Lucy married second W. Q. Shipp, before 1920, but no record of the marriage has been found.13
     Lucy and W. Q. appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Bossier Parish, Louisiana, enumerated 27 Jan 1920, reporting they owned their home, free of mortgage. Her daughter Wesley, her husband L. Q. Shipp, and their children were living close by as they are listed as the next household.15
     Her second husband died on 2 Feb 1920 in Phelps Lake, Bossier Parish, Louisiana.18,19
     Lucy appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Plain Dealing, Bossier Co., Louisiana, in the household of her daughter Annie and her husband, John Allen Cason.20
     Lucy appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Bossier Parish, Louisiana, enumerated 20 Apr 1940, reporting she rented her home, for $2 per month, and that she had lived in the same city in 1935.21
     Lucy died on 18 Jan 1946, at the home of her son Park, 401 East 66th St., Shreveport, Louisiana.14
