Narrative:

     George B. Crabtree was born about 1863 in Arkansas.5,6,7
     He moved to Lafayette Co., Arkansas, with his parents before 1870. He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Roane Twp., Lafayette Co., Arkansas, in the household of his parents, William H. Crabtree and Sophia W. Cobb.9
     George and his older brother James moved to Louisiana by 1880. They appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Bossier Parish, Louisiana, enumerated 11 Jun 1880, both listed as boarders in the household of C. D. Sandige, a farmer, with another boarder and a cook. They were listed as farmers, but may have been hired hands on the farm.10
     George was admitted to the Arkansas Lunatic Asylum, Little Rock, Arkansas, about 22 Aug 1891.11 He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Little Rock, Pulaski Co., Arkansas, at Arkansas Lunatic Asylum, enumerated 1 Jun 1900.12
     George appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Little Rock, Pulaski Co., Arkansas, at Arkansas State Hospital for Nervous Diseases, as it was then called, enumerated 16 May 1910, as an inmate.13 He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Little Rock, Pulaski Co., Arkansas, at Arkansas State Hospital for Nervous Diseases, enumerated 13 Jan 1920, as an inmate.14
     George died on 12 Jan 1929 in Little Rock, Pulaski Co., Arkansas.8 He was buried on 14 Jan 1929 in State Hospital Cemetery, Little Rock, Arkansas.3
