     He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of West Buffalo Twp., Union Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of his parents, David Hauck and Mary A. Zellers.4 He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of West Buffalo Twp., Union Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of his parents.5
     John married Stella Ida Delaney, daughter of Washington Delaney and Harriet Reed, about 1904.11,12,13
     John and Stella appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of White Deer Twp., Union Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 28 Apr 1910, reporting they were renting their home. Their children Edna, Clarence and Mary were listed as living with them.14
     John registered for the draft for World War I on 12 Sep 1918, while living at West Milton, Union Co., Pennsylvania, reporting he was employed as machinist at Milton Manufacturing Co. in Milton.2

     John and Stella appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, at Raymond St., enumerated 6 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm and they lived in Union Co., Pennsylvania the year before.19
     While he reported his occupation as a machinist when he registered for the draft in 1918, he is shown as a laborer in an iron works or manufacturing company in 1910, 1920, and 1930. In 1940 he is shown as a mechanic for a steel plant. That year he reported he had worked 40 hours the last week of March, and 42 weeks the prior year, earning $600. He reported in the 1950 census he was unable to work, but had earned $1,200 in wages or salary, and $225 in interest, dividends, etc. in the prior year. His death certificate shows that he was a retired machinist.20,21,22,23,24,25
     John died on 21 May 1958 in Coal Twp., Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, at age 79.3 He was buried on 24 May 1958 in Milton Cemetery, Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania.3
