Narrative:

Margaret Eva Chesnut was born on 22 Jun 1860 in Pennsylvania.4,5,6
She moved to West Virginia with her parents before 1880.
Margaret married James William Sigler, son of John H. Sigler and Margaret E. Young, on 29 Aug 1883 in Berkeley Co., West Virginia, with John Landstrect officiating.7,8
Margaret and James moved to Pennsylvania soon after their marriage. Some of their younger children reported they were born in McKeesport, in Allegheny Co.. But by 1900 the family was in central Pennsylvania. Margaret and James appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Connellsville, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 4 Jun 1900, reporting that they were renting their home. Their children Mabel, Edith, Roy, Viola and Olive were listed as living with them.10
Margaret and James may have moved to Maryland shortly after 1900. At least she was there in 1902 when her son was born across the state line, in Cumberland, Maryland. Whether or not they ever lived in Maryland, they did move back to Allegheny Co. before 1910.
Margaret and James appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of East Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, at 209 Beach St., enumerated May 1910, renting their home, in a multi-family building with nine other families. Their children Edith, Roy, Viola, Olive, Lester, Harold and James were listed as living with them.11
Her husband died on 21 Feb 1917 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.12
Margaret appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of McKeesport, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 8 Jan 1920, reporting she was renting her home. Her children Roy, Viola, Olive, Lester and Lana were listed as living with her, as was Viola's daughter Eluerna.13
Margaret died on 5 Feb 1922 in 432 W 5th NE, McKeesport, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, at age 61.9 She was buried on 11 Feb 1922 in Dravosburg, Pennsylvania.9

Children:
     Children with James William Sigler

James and Margaret had an additional child, whose name is unknown, and who died before 1900. There is reason to suspect that the last three children listed here were not actually their children. The 1900 census shows her as mother of six, with five living and lists the first five children. The 1910 census shows her as mother of seven, with five living, indicating she had one additional child, and one had died. Mabel is not listed so would appear to be the one who had died, and Lester, who was listed and shown by other sources to be her son, would appear to be the one added. Harold and James are also listed has his sons, but no other record has been found of them. They may actually have been the sons of Mabel, if in fact she had died. In 1920 Lana (also read as Lua) is listed as her daughter, but does not appear in 1910 when she would have been age four. No other record of her has been found. Given other errors in the 1910 census listing, she may have been omitted in error, or may have been adopted or a relative.20,21,22
