Sarah Frances Perkerson was born on 7 Jul 1838 in Halifax Co., Virginia.5,6,7She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Halifax Co., Virginia, in the household of her parents, Fielding James Perkerson and Elizabeth Ann Flora. Her future husband's family was apparently living close by as they are listed previously in the census record.12
