     He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Milton Twp., Wayne Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents, Andrew Grant Welday and Cora Spangler.4 He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Wadsworth, Medina Co., Ohio, in the household of his father.20
     Jay married first Bonnie E. Ball, daughter of George R. Ball and Mabel V. Weachter, on 10 Aug 1925 in Mt. Clemens, Macomb Co., Michigan, with William J. Dusse, justice of the peace officiating.11,12,13
     Jay appeared with Bonnie E. Ball and their daughter Juanita, on the 1930 Federal Census of Wadsworth, Medina Co., Ohio, in the household of Harvey H. Welday, his brother. It was the same home their father had owned in 1920.21
     His wife died in 1933 in Miami, Dade Co., Florida.22,23
     Jay married second Carrie Lucille Dohner, daughter of Charles Dohner and Mary Rasor [surname unknown], on 7 Nov 1936 in Wadsworth, Medina Co., Ohio, with Rev. Wilmer S. Shelly officiating. She was the widow of Earl J. Rischel.14,15,16
