     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Wilson Twp., Yell Co., Arkansas, enumerated 1 Jun 1900, in the household of John Morris, a farmer, and his wife Eva, and two nephews. She was listed as a hind-servant, which generally means a servant who works on a farm.12
     Susan married first J. C. Cole on 28 Sep 1901 in Pope Co., Arkansas, with J. L. Dickey, justice of the peace, officiating.2
