     Thomas Herbert Elliott was born on 22 Jun 1891 in Montgomery Co., Tennessee.8,9,10
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Montgomery Co., Tennessee, in the household of his parents, William Davis Elliott and Carrie Jones.4 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Montgomery Co., Tennessee, in the household of his parents.5
     Thomas graduated from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, in 1915, as an honor student, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa scholastic fraternity.15 He attended Columbia University in New York, and graduated from Cumberland Law School, Lebanon, Tennessee, graduated from Cumberland Law School, Lebanon, Tennessee. He became a member of the Tennessee State Bar Association. How much he practiced is unknown, as his principal occupation was farming.15
     Thomas married Willie Joann Mallory, daughter of James William Mallory and Mary Buford, on 15 Feb 1917 in Williamson Co., Tennessee, with Rev. W. A. Cleveland officiating.11,12,13
     Thomas and Willie, and their children Josephine and Mary, appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Montgomery Co., Tennessee, in the household of his parents.16
     Thomas and Willie appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Montgomery Co., Tennessee, enumerated 18 Apr 1930, reporting that they rented their home, and that they owned a radio. Their children Josephine and Mary were listed as living with them, as was his mother, Carrie Jones.17
     Thomas and Willie appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Montgomery Co., Tennessee, enumerated 27 Apr 1940, reporting that they owned a home valued at $7,000 and had lived in the same house in 1935. His mother was listed as living with them, as was Emma Polk, a 58-year-old Negro servant.18
     He was a farmer. In 1940 he reported that he had worked 72 hours the last week of March and 52 weeks the prior year.17,18
     Thomas died on 29 Nov 1944 in Clarksville, Montgomery Co., Tennessee, at age 53.1,14 He was buried on 30 Nov 1944 in Greenwood Cemetery, Clarksville, Montgomery Co., Tennessee.1
