     Anton and Francisca Tryer immigrated in 1851 settling in Detroit, Michigan, where they remained for several years.9
     They then moved to St. Paul, Minnesota, where they remained for 13 years.10 Anton and Francisca appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota, enumerated 2 Jun 1860, reporting real estate valued at $1,000 and personal estate of $150. Their children Mollie and Anthony were listed as living with them.2
     Anton and Francisca moved to St. Joseph, Missouri, in 1868.10 They appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., Missouri, enumerated 26 Jul 1870, reporting no real estate or personal estate. Their children Mollie, Anthony, Sophia, Philipp, Charles, Frank and John were listed as living with them.11
     Anton and Francisca appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., Missouri, at Edmond St., enumerated 3 Jun 1880. Their children Mollie, Anthony, Sophia, Philipp, Charles, Frank, John and George were listed as living with them.12
     He learned the stone mason trade before immigrating to the U. S., and learned brick masonry while living in Detroit. He worked for various contractors in Minnesota. After moving to St. Joseph he worked as a laborer on railroads before advancing to his trade again. He claimed over 100 miles of stone work on two railroads in St. Joseph.10,13,14,15
