     4 Martha E. Cobb was born on 18 Sep 1851 in Aurora, Dearborn Co., Indiana.8,9,10
     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Aurora, Dearborn Co., Indiana, in the household of her parents, Oliver Perry Cobb and Caroline S. Foulke.16 She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Center Twp., Dearborn Co., Indiana, in the household of her parents.17
     Martha married Dr. Gilbert Ellis Bailey, son of Rev. Gilbert Stephen Bailey and Sarah E. Brusnell, on 29 Jun 1876 in Dearborn Co., Indiana, with Rev. Charles Ayer, Baptist minister, officiating in a joint ceremony with her sister Alice.11
     Martha joined Gilbert in Nebraska after their marriage. They moved to Franklin, Indiana, in the latter part of 1878.
     Martha died on 19 Nov 1878, at her home in Franklin, Indiana, at age 27.12,13 She was buried on 21 Nov 1878 in Riverside Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.14,15
