     Amazetta H. Morgan was born on 22 Apr 1822 in Nicholls Co., Kentucky.5,6,7
     She moved to Decatur Co., Indiana, with her parents in the fall of 1822, when she was six months old.15,16,17 She was probably one of the two females age 5 to 10 listed in the household of her father, James Morgan, in the 1830 Federal Census of Decatur Co., Indiana.18 She was probably the female age 15 to 20 listed in the household of her father in the 1840 Federal Census of Washington, Marion, Sandcreek, Clay and Adams Twps., Decatur Co., Indiana.19
     Amazetta married Reuben Rice Cobb, son of Capt. Willard Cobb and Amy Allen, on 22 Mar 1842 in Decatur Co., Indiana, with Rev. Lewis Hulbort officiating.8,9,10
     Amazetta and Reuben appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Decatur Co., Indiana, enumerated 7 Apr 1850, reporting real estate valued at $5,000. Their children Cassandra, Woodson and Mahaka were listed as living with them, as are William Hendrickson, age 13, and Susan Burrows, age 18, relationship unknown, and William B. Green, a laborer, age 22.20
     Amazetta and Reuben appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Greensburg, Decatur Co., Indiana, enumerated 5 Jul 1860, reporting real estate valued at $31,300 and personal estate of $7,350. Their children Cassandra, Woodson and Mahaka were listed as living with them, as are Ida M. Chambers, age 4, relationship unknown, and Elizabeth Fredrick, age 22, a domestic.21
     Amazetta and Reuben appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Greensburg, Decatur Co., Indiana, enumerated 28 Jun 1870, with no real estate or personal estate recorded. Their son Mahaka was listed as living with them, as was Henry Sleth, age 20, a laborer. Their older son, Woodson, and his family seem to have been living close by as they was listed next.22
     The last few years of her life, Amazetta and Reuben spent winters in Florida for her health.4
     Amazetta and Reuben appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Decatur Co., Indiana, enumerated 11 Jun 1880. Their son Woodson was listed as living with them, as were his wife Maranda Nancy Hillis, and their sons Alvin and Hillis.23 They also appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Tallahassee, Leon Co., Florida, on Adam St., enumerated 19 Jun 1880. Their son Mahaka was listed as living with them.24
     Amazetta was reported to be ill with malarial fever in the 1880 census. Her obituary said her health had been poor, but had been in apparent good health when she returned from Florida a few weeks before her death.23,4
     Amazetta died on 6 Jun 1881 at her residence, a half mile east of, Greensburg, Indiana, at age 59.11,12,7 She was buried on 8 Jun 1881 in South Park Cemetery, Greensburg, Decatur Co., Indiana.13,14
