Narrative:

     Morris Kerr Clark was born on 16 May 1864 in Richmond, Virginia.9,10,11
     He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Clarksville, Montgomery Co., Tennessee, in the household of his parents, Micajah Henry Clark and Elizabeth Watts Kerr.17 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Clarksville, Montgomery Co., Tennessee, in the household of his parents.18
     Morris married first Frances Pendleton Barker, daughter of Chiles Terrell Barker and Mary Louisa Hutchison, on 26 Apr 1887 in Christian Co., Kentucky, in a double wedding with her twin sister, Susan. The wedding took place in their father's "elegant country home," "Glenburnie", and was officiated by Rev. Dr. Stringfellow, of Montgomery, Alabama, in the ritual of the Episcopal Church.6,12
     After a "splendid" dinner, the bridal party drove to Clarksville in carriages to a "splendid reception" by Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Clark, "one of the most elegant affairs ever witnessed in Clarksville, gotten up without regard to expense and with all the fashion and art could suggest, pleaseing to both the taste and eye."6
     His wife died on 15 May 1888.19,20
     Morris married second Cornelia Saunders, daughter of John Bartlett Saunders and Bobella Cobb, on 1 Dec 1891 in Montgomery Co., Tennessee, with Rev. William M Pettis, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiating.13,14
     Morris was named as a trustee for the benefit of his son, the child of his late wife, in the will of her father, Chiles Terrell Barker, dated 1 Dec 1895.21
     Morris and Cornelia appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Clarksville, Montgomery Co., Tennessee, at 320 Main St., enumerated 10 Jul 1900, reporting that the family rented its home. Their children Morris and Dorothy were listed as living with them, as was Azeline Johnson, a 26-year-old cook.2
     Morris and Cornelia appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Clarksville, Montgomery Co., Tennessee, at 1004 Madison St., enumerated Apr 1910, reporting that the family rented its home., as were her mother, Bobella Cobb, her half-brother, Robert Lawrence James, her sister's daughter Nell Saunders Johnson, and a Black servant, Anna Johnson, age 25.22
     He was a tobacconist (a dealer in tobacco and related accoutrements) in Clarksville.2,23,24
     Morris died on 2 Nov 1916 in Marion St., Clarksville, Montgomery Co., Tennessee, at age 52.5,15 He was buried on 4 Nov 1916 in Greenwood Cemetery, Clarksville, Montgomery Co., Tennessee.5,16
