     Lucian D. Potter was born on 26 Feb 1857 in Kentucky.6,7,8
     He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Bowling Green, Warren Co., Kentucky, in the household of his parents, David Potter and Deborah Hagerman.11 He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Bowling Green, Warren Co., Kentucky, in the household of his parents.12 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Bowling Green, Warren Co., Kentucky, in the household of his father.4
     Lucian married Sallie A. Tuck, daughter of Dr. Henry Davis Tuck and Elizabeth John A. Smith, on 19 Oct 1887 in Christian Co., Kentucky.9,10
     Lucian and Sallie appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Bowling Green, Warren Co., Kentucky, at 1122 State, enumerated 4 Jun 1900, reporting that the family owned its home, free of mortgage. Their children David and Lucien were listed as living with them, as was her sister Emma, and Ayres Samms, a 42-year old Black female cook.13
     Lucian and Sallie appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Bowling Green, Warren Co., Kentucky, at 1126 State St., enumerated 20 Apr 1910, reporting that they owned their home, free of mortgage. Their children David and Lucien were listed as living with them, as was June Tate, a 28-year old Black cook.14
     He was a book store owner in 1900. By 1910 he was a clerk at a bank, and later a clerk at a water works.15,16,17
     Lucian died on 11 Jun 1915 in Bowling Green, Warren Co., Kentucky, at age 58.1 He was buried on 12 Jun 1915 in Fairview Cemetery.1
