     Fred Daley Fenker was born on 21 Aug 1898 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.9,10,11
     He moved to Michigan with his parents by 1900.20 He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan, in the household of his parents, Frederick John Fenker and Mary Ellen Marcum.4
     He moved to the Cleveland area with his parents by 1909. He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Lakewood, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents.21
     Fred registered for the draft for World War I on 12 Sep 1918, while living at 1479 Woodward, Lakewood, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio, reporting he was employed as a clerk at M. A. Hanna Co. in Cleveland.2
     Fred enlisted in the Students' Army Training Corps Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, Ohio, 1 Oct 1918, receiving an honorable discharge as a private 16 Dec 1918.22
     He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Lakewood, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio, in the household of his mother.8
     Fred married Alice Elizabeth Benfer, daughter of Bert Leroy Benfer and Virginia May Knauss, on 14 Jul 1925 in Church of the Ascension, 13216 Detroit Ave., Cuyahoga Co., Ohio, with Rev. Wallace M. Gordon officiating.12,13,14
     He was a real estate salesman by 1925. By 1929 he was working for the Rocky River school board as a business manager.23,24,25
     Fred and Alice, and their children Barbara and Phyllis, appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Rocky River, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio, in the household of her parents, Bert Leroy Benfer and Virginia May Knauss.26
     Fred and Alice appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Rocky River, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio, at 20595 Beachwood Drive, enumerated 11 Apr 1940, reporting they owned a home valued at $12,000, and that they had lived in the same town in 1935. Their children Barbara and Phyllis were listed as living with them.27
     He was sales manager for the retail division of Iron Fireman, a heating equipment manufacturer, by 1940, reporting in that year he had worked 44 hours the last week of March, and 50 weeks the prior year, earning $5,000.28,29 He registered for the draft for World War II on 16 Feb 1942, while living at 20595 Beachwood Dr., Rocky River, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio, reporting he was employed by Iron Fireman Manufacturing Co. in Cleveland.30 He was a branch manager for that company by 1949, continuing until about 1951. By 1953 he was a branch manager for United Vacuum Stores in Cleveland.31
     Fred and Alice moved to Florida after he retired.32
     Fred died on 1 Jun 1955 in Orlando, Orange Co., Florida, at age 56.15,16,17 He was buried on 4 Jun 1955 in Pine Forest Cemetery, Mount Dora, Lake Co., Florida.18,19
