Ida M. Conklin was born in Apr 1855 in OhioG.^4,5,6
     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OhioG, in the household of her parents, William H. Conklin and Elizabeth Windling.¹² She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OhioG, in the household of her parents.¹³
     Ida married Oscar A. Christy, son of Churchill G. Christy and Maria Cobb, on 5 May 1875 in Cincinnati, OhioG, at her father's home.^7,8,9
     Ida and Oscar appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Delhi Twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio G, enumerated 25 Jun 1880. Their daughter Elizabeth was listed as living with them, as was Dudley Deries, age 13, a domestic servant.¹⁴
     They moved to Marion, IndianaG, by 1887.^15,16
     Ida and Oscar returned to Cincinnati by 1897.¹⁷ They appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 425 Riddle Road G, enumerated 5 Jun 1900. Their daughter Elizabeth was listed as living with them, as were Alice Penitt, a servant, and E. Walter Brown, a coachman.¹⁸
     Her husband died on 14 Jul 1901 in Winton Place, Hamilton Co., OhioG.¹⁹
     Ida moved to the new apartment building, The Alexandra, at 921 E. William H. Taft Rd.,G in 1904, occupying flat 17. The Alexandra was one of the first apartment buildings designed for wealthier residents outside of downtown Cincinnati, and at the time was the largest apartment building anywhere in the city.^20,21 She had been living in flat 4, 626 W. 4thG.²²
     Ida has not been found in the 1920 census. She is last listed in The Alexandra in the 1906 city directory, and is not listed after that. By 1914 she had moved to California and was living at 524 Seaside Blvd., Long Beach G.^23,24
     Ida appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Azusa, Los Angeles Co., California, on San Gabriel Canyon Rd. G, enumerated 5 Feb 1920, in the household of Faith Hall and her 11-year-old daughter Jane, listed as a companion.²⁵
     Ida died on 26 Jan 1923 in San Bernardino Co., CaliforniaG, at age 67.^10,6 She was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OhioG.¹¹

William Henry F. Jonas was born about 1852 in OhioG.^7,8,9
     He moved to IndianaG with his parents in 1856.¹⁴ He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Seymour, Jackson Co., IndianaG, with his parents, John Jonas and Mary Pielan, in the household of W. W. Durand. It appears they may have been living in a hotel, as his father was shown as a hotel keeper, and there were also a barkeeper and two servants listed.¹⁵
     He was working on a railroad in 1870.¹⁶
     His mother sued his father for divorce. Her suit was denied by the court in Feb 1870. But he evidently later divorced her, as he remarried in 1872.^17,18
     William appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Seymour, Jackson Co., IndianaG, in the household of his mother, Mary Pielan, with two of his brothers and two sisters.¹⁹ His father, and one brother, were listed as living elsewhere in Seymour.²⁰
     William married May Christy, daughter of Churchill G. Christy and Maria Cobb, on 25 May 1876 in Jackson Co., IndianaG, with Rev. Albert Ogle offciating.^10,11
     William and Charles E. Woodward opened the Hotel Jonas in Seymour in 1878. The hotel had been built by William's father, on the site of an earlier hotel he had operated when he first came to Seymour. The local newspaper said "the entire house is a model of beauty from top to bottom." An Iowa newspaper said "Seymour basked in the splendor of it's new hotel."^21,22,23,24
     William and May appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Seymour, Jackson Co., Indiana G, enumerated 11 Jun 1880. His 13-year-old brother Frank was listed as living with them.⁴
     William died on 8 Jun 1881 in Seymour, IndianaG, at age ~29.¹² He was buried on 10 Jun 1881 in Seymour, IndianaG.¹³
