Richard Stevenson Campion was born on 26 Sep 1881 in Edgerton, MissouriG.4,5,6
     He moved to Kansas with his parents by 1888.11 He appeared on the 1895 State Census of Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., KansasG, in the household of his parents, John W. Campion and Anna Garret Stevenson.12
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., Kansas, G in the household of his parents.13 He appeared on the 1905 State Census of Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., KansasG, in the household of his parents.14
     He was a bookkeeper by 1905.15
     Richard married Nellie Garrett Keith, daughter of Joseph S. Keith and Mary E. Garrett, on 9 Sep 1908 at her parents' home, 3021 College Ave., Kansas, Jackson Co., MissouriG, with Rev. George Reynolds officiating.7,8,9
     Richard and Nellie appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Kansas, Jackson Co., Missouri, G in the household of Joseph S. Keith, her father.16
     Richard and Nellie appeared on the 1915 State Census of Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., KansasG, in the household of his parents.17
     He was a salesman by 1910, when he was working in the plumbing industry. He worked as a traveling salesman most of the rest of his career.18,19,20 Richard registered for the draft for World War I on 9 Sep 1918, while living at 522 So 7th, Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., KansasG, reporting he was employed as a traveling salesman for C. C. Schneider in Kansas City, Kansas.3 By 1925 he was working for a glove factory.21,22
     He and Nellie appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., Kansas, G in the household of his parents.23
     Richard and Nellie appeared on the 1925 State Census of Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., Kansas, at 522 So 7th G, reporting they owned their home, free of mortgage. His sister Edith was listed as living with them.24
     Richard and Nellie appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., Kansas, at 429 Pine St. G, enumerated 2 Apr 1930, reporting they rented their home, for $45.00 per month, and owned a radio.25
     Richard and Nellie appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., Kansas, at 1212 S Broadway G, enumerated 12 Apr 1940, reporting they rented their home, for $45 per month, and that they had lived in the same city in 1935.26
     Richard registered for the draft for World War II on 27 Apr 1942, while living at 1212 South Broadway, Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., KansasG, reporting he was not employed.27
     Richard died on 11 Sep 1951 at age 69.10
