Florence Marie Cornfoot was born on 23 Oct 1904 in Clifford, Michigan

4,5,6 She as born Marie Pennington, with her mother's surname, and that name appears on records through at least 1920. After her mother's death she lived with her mother's sister. By 1930 she had adopted the Cornfoot surname, her aunt's married name. By the time of her marriage she was using the given name Florence, which has not been found in earlier records.
12,13,14,1 Her mother died on 5 May 1908, when Florence was 3 years old.
15 Marie appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Burlington Twp., Lapeer Co., Michigan, at State Rd.
G, enumerated 27 Apr 1910, in the household of Ethel and Walter Cornfoot, her mother's sister and her husband. Her mother's 21-year-old brother, Thomas, was also listed in the household.
16 By 1920 her aunt and uncle, and Marie, had moved to Detroit
G. Marie appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan, at 1917 Russell St.
G, enumerated 16 Jan 1920, listed as a neice in the household of Berton and Elizabeth Nothstein. However they are both from Pennsylvania, so would not appear to be related to her mother, who was from Michagan, of Canadian parents. Marie's aunt Ethel and her husband Walter Cornfoot are shown as living in the same dwelling, and it seems more likely she was actually living with them.
17 Florence appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan, at 2510 Sheridan Ave.
G, enumerated 10 Apr 1930, listed as a neice in the household of George and Eula Cornfoot and their two children. George was the brother of her aunt Ethel's husband, but whether he as actually related to her is unknown.

G, enumerated 17 Apr 1940, reporting that they were renting their home, for $35 per month, and had lived in the same city in 1935. Their two children were listed as living with them.
19 Florence and Forest appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Garden, Wayne Co., Michigan, at 29451 John Hauk
G, enumerated 6 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm and they lived in the same house the year before. Their children were listed as living with them.
20 Florence died on 12 Jun 1964 in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw Co., Michigan
