Narrative:

Joseph Hiram Keen was born on 16 Jun 1886 in Mouthcard, KentuckyG.4,5,6 He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Pike Co., Kentucky, G in the household of his parents, General Marion Keen and Sarah Jones.14 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Schultz, Greenup Co., Kentucky G, in the household of his parents.15
     Joseph married first Gertrude Hannah, daughter of William Hannah and Emily McCalister, about 1911.7
     Joseph registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living at Argentan, KentuckyG, reporting he was a self-employed farmer.1
     His wife died on 24 Aug 1919 in Greenup Co., KentuckyG.16
     Joseph married second Inez V. Hunt about 1919.8,9,10
     Joseph and Inez appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Schultz, Greenup Co., Kentucky G, enumerated 27 Jan 1920, reporting that they owned their farm, free of mortgage. His children Tempa and Roy were listed as living with them.17
     Joseph and Inez appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Greenup Co., Kentucky G, enumerated 2 Apr 1930, reporting that they owned a home valued at $3,000, but did not own a radio. Their children Alta, Etta, and Ralph, and his children by his prior marriage, Tempa, Roy, and Ray, were listed as living with tbem.18
     He was a farmer until at least 1920, but an automobile salesman by 1930.19,20,21
     Joseph died on 26 Jul 1939 in Fullerton, Greenup Co., KentuckyG, at age 53, at his home.11,12 He was buried on 29 Jul 1939 in New Hardin Cemetery, SiloamG.13,2

     Gertrude married Joseph Hiram Keen, son of General Marion Keen and Sarah Jones, about 1911.6
     Gertrude died on 24 Aug 1919 in Greenup Co., KentuckyG, at age 32, of typhoid fever.7 She was buried on 26 Aug 1919 in Brick Union Cemetery, Lloyd, Greenup Co., KentuckyG.7
