Narrative:

James M. Caldwell was born in 1850 in OhioG.4,5,6 He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of New Concord, Muskingum Co., OhioG, in the household of his parents, Andrew S. Caldwell and Jane.12 He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Adamsville, Muskingum Co., OhioG, in the household of his parents.13
     James married Mary E. White, daughter of Joseph White and Elizabeth Lorimer.7,8,9
     James and Mary appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Union Twp., Muskingum Co., Ohio G, enumerated 9 Jun 1880. Their children Walker and Matilda were listed as living with them.14
     He was a farmer.14
     James died in 1898 in Muskingum Co., OhioG, at age ~48.11 He was buried in Crooked Creek Cemetery, New Concord, Muskingum Co., OhioG.10

Narrative:

Mary E. White was born on 11 Apr 1848 in OhioG.4,5,6 She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Union Twp., Muskingum Co., OhioG, in the household of her parents, Joseph White and Elizabeth Lorimer.14
     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Norwich, Muskingum Co., PennsylvaniaG, in the household of her father and stepmother, Sarah B.15 She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Adamsville, Muskingum Co., OhioG, in the household of her father and stepmother.16
     Mary married James M. Caldwell, son of Andrew S. Caldwell and Jane.7,8,9
     Mary and James appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Union Twp., Muskingum Co., Ohio G, enumerated 9 Jun 1880. Their children Walker and Matilda were listed as living with them.17
     Her husband died in 1898 in Muskingum Co., OhioG.18
     Mary appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Union Twp., Muskingum Co., Ohio G, enumerated 21 Jun 1900, reporting that she owned her farm, free of mortgage. Her children Walker, Matilda, Nellie, Mary, Maggie, and Emma were listed as living with her.19
     Mary appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Union Twp., Muskingum Co., Ohio, at New Concord Rd. G, enumerated 18 Apr 1910, reporting she owned her farm, free of mortgage. Her children Matilda, Maggie, and Emma were listed as living with her.20
     Mary appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of New Concord, Muskingum Co., Ohio, at 21 East High St. G, enumerated 5 Jan 1920, reporting she owned her home, free of mortgage. Her daughter Matilda was listed as living with her.21
     Mary died on 26 Jan 1925 in New Concord, Muskingum Co., OhioG, at age 76.10,11 She was buried on 28 Jan 1925 in New Concord Cemetery, New Concord, Muskingum Co., OhioG, but she appears on a stone with her husband in Crooked Creek Cemetery, with an inscription stating that she is interred in New Concord Cemetery.12,13
