Alvin were listed as living with them, as were Harmer Rhodes, age 30, a mulatto farm laborer, and his apparent wife, Mary, a Black domestic servant age 20, and son Thomas, age 1.

G, enumerated 12 Jun 1880. Their children Rudolphus, Eldrige, and Alvin were listed as living with them, as was Oscar Robertson, a nephew age 4. Also listed was Ida Hill, age 20, identified as "daughter" but perhaps adopted, as she and her parents were reported as born in Indiana and there is no indication they ever lived outside Tennessee, and she is listed after the nephew.
11 He was a harness maker in 1870, and a mechanic by 1880.
