Cobb Deeds

The records below focus on deeds involving the following persons. I have endeavored to find all deeds involving them from the time they moved to the town of Pawlet in the mid-1770s until the last of them left that town, but some may have been missed.

Gideon Cobb:	Born in Stonington, Connecticut 1718, later moved to Pawlet, Vermont, with several of his adult sons, died there 1798.
John Cobb:	Third son of Gideon Cobb and Abigail Dyer, born 1744, Norwich, Connecticut, moved to Saratoga, Albany Co., New York about 1770, and to Pawlet about 1780. Died 1815, Orwell, Vermont.
Elkanah Cobb:	Fourth son of Gideon Cobb and Abigail Dyer, born 1747, Norwich, Connecticut, moved to Saratoga, Albany Co., New York about 1770, and to Pawlet about 1780. Died 1795, Wells, Vermont.
Mary Cobb:	Born Mary Willard, only daughter of Jonathan Willard and Sarah Childs, born circa 1749, Coldester, Connecticut, married first Elkanah Cobb, married second Zadock Remington 1905, Pawlet, died 1842 Morgan Co. Indiana
Willard Cobb:	Third son of Elkanah Cobb and Mary Willard, born 1781, Pawlet, moved to Wells, Vermont about 1820, to Fort Ann, New York about 1824, to Decatur Co., Indiana by 1830, and to Mahaska Co., Iowa by 1850. Died in Iowa 1855.
Ebenezer Cobb:	Fifth son of Gideon Cobb and Abigail Dyer, born 1749, Norwich, Connecticut, moved to Saratoga, Albany Co., New York about 1770, to Pawlet about 1780, and to Shelbune, Vermont by 1800. Died Shelburne 1826.
Joshua Cobb:	Sixth son of Gideon Cobb and Abigail Dyer, born 1751, Norwich, Connecticut, moved to Saratoga, Albany Co., New York about 1770, and to Pawlet about 1780. Moved to Vernon, Oneida Co., New York before 1820, and presumably died there.
Joshua D. Cobb:	Eldest son of Joshua Cobb and Hannah Edgerton, born 1792, Pawlet, moved to Lima, Rock Co., Wisconsin by 1850. Died 1866 in Pawlet while there on a visit.
