  • [S89] "Dr. George Comstock Distinguished Alum, Dies in Glen Cove," undated clipping from unidentified newspaper, copy obtained from Carmen Glabe Reigel Oct 1998. The term "Distinguished Alum" and significant ink given to his employer, together with reference to his death in an apparently local town, suggest it is from a company publication. Reference to the date of death as "Tuesday morning, November 16" suggest it appeared soon after the event. Copy held by author, Boone, North Carolina.
  • [S98] Benjamin Franklin Reigel Family Bible, (n.p.: n.pub., unknown publish date); present owner unknown. Photocopy of the "Births" page obtained from Ella Reigel. Copy has been associated with 3 Oct 1941 affidavit by Ralph O. Reigel regarding birthdate of Frank William Reigel, in which a notary refers to family bible of Benjamin Franklin Reigel and declares the attached copy an exact duplicate. Entries begin with Benjamin Franklin and his wife Esther Matilda Gann, and list their four children, apparently all in the same hand and with the same pen, so all appear to have been entered after the last child was born. The only exception is the birth year for Ida May, which has been changed in the last digit to a four. Copy held by author.
