Narrative:

     Maria Long was born about 1810 in Kentucky.3,4,5
     She was probably one of the three females under age 10 listed in the household of her father, Griffin Long, in the 1810 Federal Census of Eddyville, Caldwell Co., Kentucky.8
     Her father died in Mar or Apr 1817, when Maria was about 7 years old.9
     She was probably one of the three females under age 10 listed in the household of her mother, Sarah Graham, in the 1820 Federal Census of Caldwell Co., Kentucky.10
     Maria married Isaac Mills on 8 Dec 1827 in Hardeman Co., Tennessee, with J. W. McKean, justice of the peace, officiating.6,7
     She was probably the female age 15 to 20 listed in the household of her husband, Isaac Mills, in the 1830 Federal Census of Caldwell Co., Kentucky.11
     On 15 Jul 1836 Maria and her husband, while living in Caldwell Co., Kentucky, sold her rights as heir of her father to 400 ac. on Spring Creek and the waters of Livingston Creek to Caleb Clark Cobb, for $50.12 They were living in Caldwell Co., Kentucky, when they made that sale.13
     She was probably the female age 20 to 30 listed in the household of her husband, Isaac Mills, in the 1840 Federal Census of Cairo, Alexander Co., Illinois.14
     Her husband apparently died between 1847 and 1850, as his last known child was born about 1847, and he does not appear with the family in the 1850 census, but no record of his death has been found.15
     Maria appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Scott Co., Missouri, enumerated 13 Aug 1850. Her children Eliza, Willis, Andrew, Matilda and Columbus were listed as living with her.1
     No later record of Maria has been found.
