     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of her parents, John Henry Simons and Mary Catharine Riegel, where, at age 16, her occupation is listed as a housekeeper.4 Anna also appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of Nicholas Simons and Ann [surname unknown], her paternal grandparents.14
     Anna was living in Siegfrieds, Lehigh Co., Pennsylvania, with her aunt at the time of her marriage.10
     Anna married William James Devereaux, son of John J. Devereaux and Sarah A. Eskey, on 4 Jul 1909 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with Rev. H. M. J. Klein officiating.10,11
