     She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Pearl Twp., Illinois in the household of her parents, Ransom A. Kessinger and Sarah J. Peacock, with her daughter Jeanette.21
     Catherine married first Dr. Franklin Lock on 18 Mar 1882 in Pike Co., Illinois.12,13
     Her husband died in Feb 1889.22,23
     Catherine married second James R. Smith about 1890.14,15
