     Winefield Washington Hartman was born in Aug 1869 in Missouri.7,8,9
     He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Shoal Creek Twp., Barry Co., Missouri, in the household of his parents, John Hartman and Susannah Buck.14
     He moved to Nebraska with his parents about 1871.15 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Polk Co., Nebraska, in the household of his parents.5
     Winefield married Ida Bertha Finecy about 1889.10,11,12
     Winefield and Ida appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Valley, Polk Co., Nebraska, enumerated 11 Jun 1900, reporting that the family rented its farm. Their children Violet, Henry, Clara, John and Geneva were listed as living with them.3
     Winefield and Ida appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Chappell, Deuel Co., Nebraska, enumerated 2 May 1910, reporting that the family owned its farm, free of mortgage. Their children Violet, Henry, Clara, John and Geneva were listed as living with them.16
     Winefield and Ida moved their family to Washington before 1920. They appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Vancouver, Clark Co., Washington, at 904 Reserve St., enumerated 7 Jan 1920, reporting that the family rented its home. Their children John, Violet and Geneva were listed as living with them, as was Rachel's husband, Dwight Archerd.17
     Winefield and Ida appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Clark Co., Washington, enumerated 19 Apr 1930, reporting that they owned a home, but did not supply a value, and they owned a radio. Their son John was listed as living with them.18
     Winefield and Ida appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Vancouver, Clark Co., Washington, at 2016 Broadway St., enumerated 4 Apr 1940, reporting they were renting their home, for $16 per month, and had lived in North Bonneville, Washington, in 1935.19
     He was a farmer in 1900, and had become a carpenter, working on houses, by 1910. By 1940 he was a carpenter contractor, doing building construction. That year he reported that he had worked 40 hours the last week of March and had had worked 30 weeks the prior year, earning $796.20,21,22,23,24
     His wife died on 16 Jan 1958 in Long Beach, Pacific Co., Washington.25
     Winefield died on 27 Apr 1960 in Vancouver, Clark Co., Washington, at age 90.13
