     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Roanoke, Halifax Co., Virginia, in the household of her parents, James Richard Conner and Sallie Ragland Watts.4 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Roanoke, Halifax Co., Virginia, in the household of her parents.5
     Katie married William Edward Perkins, son of William S. Purkins and Sarah Ligon Britton, about 1919.12,13,14
     Katie and William appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Halifax Co., Virginia, enumerated 30 Jan 1920, reporting they rented their home.15
     Katie and William appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Halifax Co., Virginia, on County Road no 12, enumerated 15 Apr 1930, reporting they owned their farm, and did not own a radio.16
     Katie and William appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Halifax Co., Virginia, enumerated 8 Apr 1940, reporting they owned a home valued at $600, and that they had lived in the same house in 1935. Louise Ferrell, age 9 and shown as his second cousin-in-law, was listed as living with them.17
